WOODBRIDGE,Va.– Arrest made after man was hit in the face with a  gulf club.

On September 1st at 8:36AM, police responded to the 14600 block of Earlham Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault.
The victim, a 43 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to his residence where a verbal altercation ensued outside of the home.
During the encounter, the accused struck the victim to his face with a golf club. Other occupants of the home intervened and where able to break up the fight.
As the victim and the other residents were going inside the home, the accused threw a glass bottle at the door which shattered, striking one of the other men, a 24 year old man of Woodbridge, to his arm. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with malicious wounding, assault & battery, and destruction of property
