Woman Faces Robbery Charge after ATM Incident

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — After arguing with a bank employee, one woman tried to steal deposited checks from an ATM, police said.

Here’s more in a police press release:

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On August 25th at 12:42PM, police responded to investigate an attempted robbery which was reported to have occurred at the TD Bank located at 13630 Foulger Sq in Woodbridge (22193).

An employee of the bank reported to police that she was involved in a verbal altercation with a customer, later identified as the accused, over an issue with a deposit.

After the encounter, the employee went to a nearby ATM to empty the night deposits. After a brief altercation, another customer was able to get the accused to leave the bank. No injuries were reported.

Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused. The accused was arrested without further incident on August 26th.
