MANASSAS, Va. — Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) will begin to accept donations for its new thrift store, Save ‘N’ Serve, on Sept. 3, in anticipation of its opening the week of Sept. 16.
The store is located at 10360 Portsmouth Road, Manassas, in the same shopping center as Family Christian Stores and Toys”R”Us on Sudley Road.
The 4,397 square- foot location will offer bargain hunters deals on clothing, shoes, accessories, books, housewares, linens, small appliances, records and CDs, artwork, sporting goods, gift items, collectibles, estate goods and luggage.
Donors can drop off donations of the above goods (new or gently used, broken or items needs cleaning or repair cannot be accepted) to Save ‘N’ Serve starting Tuesday, Sept. 3. Donations may be dropped off daily between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.; Sundays between noon and 5 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help sort donations and help set up the store in anticipation of the store opening the week of Sept. 16. NVFS will announce the exact opening date in its News Room (nvfs.org/news) and social media channels facebook.com/nvfs.org and @nvfs) as soon as possible.
Save ‘N’ Serve joins NVFS’ Clock Tower Thrift Stores in Falls Church and Chantilly. The revenue generated from these operations supports critical programs for families and children in Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun.
