MANASSAS, Va. — The sights and sounds of the 2013 Prince William County Fair filled the Manassas air Friday night.
In its 64th year, the fair began. its week-long run at the county fairgrounds complex on Va. 234 with half-price admission night, games, carnival rides, and a demolition derby.
The fair runs through August 17. It was started by a group of veteran farmers looking to promote agricultural business in the county, and it remains the largest county fair in Virginia.
The Prince William County Fairgrounds are located at 10624 Dumfries Road in Manassas.
Gates at the fair open at the following times:
Sunday, Aug. 11 — Noon
Monday, Aug. 12 — 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 13 — 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 14 — 5 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 15 — 5 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 16 — 11 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17 — Noon
