Stafford 350 Booth to be Featured at National Night Out

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Stafford County turns 350 next year, but tonight, a special booth that aims to commemorate the anniversary will be featured at tonight’s National Night Out celebration in North Stafford.

The annual night out event will be held at Stafford Marketplace , starting at 6:00 pm , the booth will feature games, prizes, and information on all of the planned events in 2014 that will celebrate the county’s birthday.

More in a press release about the booth:

National Night Out marks the second “appearance” of the 350th Anniversary traveling booth. It “premiered” at the July 4 event at Pratt Park and hosted many visitors who were excited to learn about the upcoming anniversary activities.

Stafford officials hope that even more people will visit the booth at Stafford Marketplace. They especially urge residents who have a unique story to tell about their experience in Stafford to visit the booth and share their information, which may be included in videos that will be broadcast on the County’s cable television channels and the 350th Anniversary website at Stafford350.com.

Stafford officials are also looking for volunteers to assist in the many events planned for 2014. Information will be available for individuals who are interested in volunteering next year.
