More in an unedited press release:

On June 18, 2013 Stafford deputies responded to a report of a breaking & entering at a residence on Neabsco Drive in the Leeland Station subdivision. Detective Kurt McBride initiated an investigation into the break in and discovered that a camera had been pawned at a local pawn shop that tied the 16 year old to the breakin on June 18. A search warrant was executed at the home of the 16 year old on July 17, 2013.

Evidence collected during the search warrant implicated the teen to the burglary in the Leeland Station neighborhood.

The 16 year old juvenile had just been released from house arrest and was on probation for a breaking & entering that he had committed in the same area in the past. He is being investigated as to his possible involvement in additional break-ins that have occurred in the Leeland Station area in the past few weeks.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are possible.

The 16-year-old is charged with one count of breaking and entering, one count of grand larceny, and with one count of intent to sell. The teen, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
