MANASSAS, Va. — In the coming months, Engine 501C will be removed from service once our new engine arrives. The 1982 Hahn was placed in service as Wagon 1, it received a refurb from Pierce in 1997 and continued service as Engine 1-1.
As numbering configurations changed over the years, it also ran as Engine 501A until it’s current designation as Engine 501C. All in all this rig has logged over 31 years of service to the citizens of the City of Manassas and Prince William County.
It’s safe to say this rig as logged hundreds of hours of pump time on a couple hundred fires to say the least.
