NOKESVILLE, Va. -- As road closures go in sleepy Nokesville, this one could be major.
Part of Aden Road will close between 3 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday, between Orlando Road and Parkgate Drive, for work to replace an aging bridge over Cedar Run. A detour will be posted in the area for drivers to follow, but the Virginia Department of Transportation hopes that by doing the bridge replacement work at night there will be less of an impact on drivers.
âWe are not going to do a long-term detour because itâs too disruptive â 4,700 vehicles a day use Aden (about 3,000 per day on the weekend). So the plan is to do close the road on weekends only,â said VDOT spokeswoman Joan Morris.

Rania credited her success to the supportive academic community of Prince William County Public Schools, her teachers Stephanie Brown and Dr. Alexis Patanarut, and her unique opportunities at GS@IP. As a finalist, she has already won $27,000 and will compete for additional awards totaling over $1.8 million during a week-long event in Washington, D.C., in March 2025.
