Oscar is a wonderful boy with a sad story that BTRVA plans to turn into a happy ending! BTRVA received a call from a very upset young lady who stumbled onto Oscar’s situation. He had been abandoned in a home with no food or water.
He was promptly transferred into our care by this good samaritan and we are nursing him back to health. Oscar has dry eye from the lack of nutrition, which will be easily treated, an ear infection, and he is about 10 lbs. underweight.
Oscar will be neutered as soon as he gains enough weight and the vet gives us the go-ahead. So far he has shown us that he loves to snuggle, is extremely affectionate, he is completely house trained — has never once had an accident or even tried to mark in the house — really likes other dogs of his size, and loves to play!
He would really appreciate a canine companion in his forever home. As weak and awful as he must have felt when we got him, he has been nothing but a happy spirit from day one. We are very proud of him, and we tell him each day that it’s just going to keep getting better, dear boy!
If you think that Oscar might be your new BFF, please visit www.btrva.org/adoption-inquiry and submit your application to write this sweet boy’s happy ending!
