Our heat streak continues today with 90-degree temperatures and poor air quality forecast for the region.
It’s a Code Orange air quality day for those living in Prince William County and in areas north, from Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia. The air outside is expected to be unhealthy for children and anyone with a breathing or heart condition.
Sunshine will dominate the day with temperatures expected to reach a high of 92 degrees. Tomorrow and Saturday, it’s much of the same story. It’s not until Sunday that some relief from the heat arrives in the form of thunderstorms, and they could pack heavy winds and rain, according to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service.
Things cool down for the start of the new work week on Monday with temperatures forecasted to be in the high 70s.
