Spring Cleaning, Community Events Planned in Manassas

MANASSAS, Va. – They'll be cleaning up the town in Manassas this month at several events aimed at cleaning up neighborhoods and giving back to the community.

The City of Manassas Police Department is taking part in the 3rd Annual Litter Enforcement Month from April 1-30 with support from the Alice Ferguson Foundation and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s Police Chief’s Committee.  The main goal of Litter Enforcement Month is to restore the integrity of our local watershed resources, raise awareness about litter’s negative impact on our neighborhoods and quality of life, and reduce crime.
