STAFFORD, Va. — Someone has been messing around on the roof of a pharmacy in Stafford.
A sheriff’s deputy was called to a Rite Aid pharmacy at 2852 Jefferson Davis Highway after the manager learned a hole had been cut into the ceiling.
No illegal entry was made into the building and nothing was stolen, but investigators want to know who used a saw to peel back a portion of the roof and cut a small hole into the ceiling.
Stafford sheriff’s office spokesman Bill Kennedy said a manger at the store noticed some ceiling tiles appeared to have been damaged by leaking water. A repair company called to the store showed employees the hole that had had been cut into the ceiling, and that’s when the sheriff’s office was called.
The hole in the roof was made within the last few days, sometime after January 1, said Kennedy. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to contact Stafford County Crime Solvers.
