Woman Sexually Assaulted in Woodbridge Hotel

INCIDENT IS SECOND AT HOTEL IN LESS THAN A MONTH

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police said a female hotel worker was knocked out and sexually assaulted last night in Woodbridge.

This crime occurred at the same hotel where an employee was nearly abducted inside a hotel room there.

More in a press release from Prince William police:

On December 5th at 10:13PM, police and detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to the Econo Lodge located at 13317 Gordon Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a sexual assault. The victim, the clerk, a 33 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she received a call to let someone into one of the rooms of the motel.

As the victim was walking to the room, in the stairwell, she was approached from behind by a masked man who then forced her into the room at knife point. Once inside the room, the victim was knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted. The room the clerk was called to was later determined to have been vacant.

The victim was not able to provide police with a further description of the assailant. The investigation continues. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

A cleaning woman was nearly abducted at the hotel on Nov. 18. Police made an arrest in the case two days later.
