Camera Seized after Police Stop Yields Woman in Underwear

DUMFRIES, Va. — A female driver wearing male boxer shorts and a bra, an underage girl in a backseat, and a man with a camera all inside the same car.

That’s what Dumfries Police Sgt. J.J. Vazquez saw when he stopped a car on Prince William Circle in Dumfries on Oct. 20, according to court documents.

The police officer apparently stopped the car after he saw the flash of a camera coming from inside the vehicle. He approached the car and spoke with the owner of the car, a man who was riding in the passenger seat, who apologized for taking the photo, documents state. The adult female driver also apologized for the flash, and she was wearing male boxers and a bra while driving, documents state.

A 16-year-old girl wearing a tight-fitted tank top and shorts sitting the in the backseat of the car then spoke up and told the officer the photos taken were not improper. Vazquez stated he asked if they were only because of what the females were wearing, documents state.

Vazquez states the male in the passenger seat then offered to show him the photos stored on the camera. He looked at them and saw photos of the 16-year-old girl in a bedroom removing her bra and pulling it out over her tank top, court documents state. There were also photos of the adult female kissing and fondling the girl on a bed as the juvenile was wearing panties and a tank top, court documents state.

The officer seized the camera and the case remains under investigation.

Bre-Anna McNeil, 18, of Dumfries, is charged with DUI, having no valid driver’s license, and drunk in public, said Dumfries police Capt. Rebecca Edwards.

The passenger, 27-year-old Charles Stewart III, of Woodbridge, is charged with drunk in public, added Edwards.

The 16-year-old was not charged and was released to the custody of her mother.
