PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – Customers can add a salad bar dish to their entrée, but no one wanted to add this.
Fire and rescue crews were called to a Ruby Tuesday restaurant near Dumfries at 1 p.m. Tuesday after a utility closet caught fire.
Officials report crews saw smoke when they arrived at the restaurant coming from the rear of the building.
The building was evacuated and then extinguishers used to douse the flames.
No injuries were reported and smoke alarms inside the eatery were all working, said fire and rescue spokeswoman Kim Hylander.
A fire marshal reported a damage estimate of $2,000. That official is still looking into the cause of the blaze.
Ruby Tuesday has four locations in the area including the one near Dumfries, including Woodbridge, Manassas, and North Stafford. The restaurant offers hamburgers, chicken, steaks, and seafood as well as an all-you-can eat salad bar.
