STAFFORD, Va. – Stafford County will light its Christmas Tree at the county courthouse this year.

All citizens are invited to the lighting of the County Christmas tree on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus, who are local Stafford citizens Dale and Trish Parris, are renowned for their realistic portrayal of the merry couple. They will join the Board of Supervisors and County staff at the lighting ceremony and be available for pictures. Duane DeHart, the music minister of Ferry Farm Baptist Church, will lead guests in carols.
This is the second year for the official lighting of the tree, which is located on the lawn in front of the Stafford Courthouse at 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554. Parking is available to the rear of the Courthouse.
This marks the second time the county has lit an official Christmas Tree.
