WOODBRIDGE, Va. â Runners and walkers on
Saturday Sunday will take to the Woodbridge campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) for a good cause.
The collegeâs first 5K Hustle 2 Health is the first time a 5K run will be held at the campus at 15200 Neabsco Mills Road near Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center. The run will help promote healthy living to college students as well raise money for scholarships.
âThis is truly a community event and we have partnered with the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, and Prince William Parks & Recreation,â said campus spokeswoman Heather Witmer.
Registration for the 5K run and walk event starts at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Sunday. A free health and wellness expo will at the campus will run until noon.
Registration costs are $25 for runners/walkers, $10 for children under 12, and $35 if you register on the day of the race.
Runners will be shuttled to the start line at nearby Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.
More than 200 runners / walkers have signed up to participate, and 20 vendor businesses will also be on hand for the event.
