MANASSAS PARK, Va. — The City of Manassas Park Department of Parks and Recreation has released its 2012-2013 Fall and Winter MOSAIC Program Directory. This directory features programs for all ages and lifestyles.
Preschoolers, ages 3-5, can take part in our 4ās & 5ās Preschool or 3 Bears Preschool, as well as new programs such as Lunch Bunch, Beginning Chefs, Dance classes, Tumbling, Pre-lympics and more! Plus, we have a āTo Do Listā Tuesday where parents can knock out their āto do listā while their children are supervised and having fun.
School aged children, ages 6-12, can have fun and make friends in our Extended Care programs, which are before and/or after-school licensed day care programs through the State of Virginia, Department of Social Services. We also have programs such as Beginner Guitar Lessons, Scrabble Club, āCheck Mateā Chess Club, Biddy Ball, Indoor Soccer and much more.
Teens can benefit from our Teen Passport, for only $20/month, and have full access to our dedicated Teen Center, pool, wellness center and gym. Teen programs consist of Volleyball league, Poetry Class, Tutoring, Cooking Class, Babysitter Training, Open Mic and more.
Adults need some āmeā time too, that is why we have classes spanning from Computer classes, Beginning Sign Language, Salsa Lessons and Culinary Classes to athletic programs such as Dodgeball, Basketball, Karate and much more.
Seniors can enjoy our NEW and improved Senior Passport for just $30/year. To be eligible for the passport, you must be 65 years of age or older. Membership includes access to the facility as well as all senior programs for no additional fee. Programs include Table Tennis, Senior Socials, Book Club, Morning Mochas and more!
Other activities offered include group fitness classes and therapeutic recreation. There are also a variety of events planned now through February that the whole family can enjoy.
