DALE CITY, Va. — Would a free haircut for your child come in handy for back to school time?
Hair Cuttery stores partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs in Prince William County and Manassas to provide free haircuts to the first 40 people under age 18 who signed up. According to their website, Hair Cuttery agreed to issue gift cards for those who signed up for the free cuts.
The free haircut announcement was made via an email sent out from the club Thursday afternoon.
The cuts come after the Boys and Girls Clubs have worked with the style shop for over four years. The clubs have also facilitated fundraisers, team-building workshops, career development practices, and the clubsâ annual âSend a Kid to Campâ summer program.
âWhen businesses give to the club, they don’t do it for a press releases or news story. They do it because they truly care. We just like to tell the world, because âenthusiasm is contagiousâ and they are enthusiastic about the Boys and Girls Club,â said clubs Director Glenn Vickers.
The Prince William Boys and Girls Club has branches in Dale City, Dumfries, and Manassas.
