Police today identified Kyrell Kyyon McNeill, 4, of the 14800 block of Empire St in Dale City, as the child who accidentally shot and killed himself outside his home Wednesday afternoon.

5:30 p.m. Wednesday

At 3:25 p.m., a family member called police to report that the victim, a 4-year-old boy of Woodbridge, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
