Crime Watch: Child Sodomized

FROM POLICE REPORTS: 

Aggravated Sexual Battery / Forcible Sodomy

On June 5, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 13100 block of Quade Lane in Dale City. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 3-year-old female of Manassas, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, while at a private residence in the above area which is also a licensed daycare. The victim was in the care of employees at the residence when the accused when the assault occurred.

The daycare is a licensed facility and other children were present. No other assaults were reported. Following an investigation, the accused was arrested. Investigation continues.

Arrested:

Dayquan Michael MIiller, 18, of 13156 Quade Lane in Dale City, is charged with two counts of forcible sodomy and one count of aggravated sexual battery. Court date unavailable, held without bond.

Residential Burglary

On June 5 at 1:13 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of Vestal Street in Woodbridge for a burglary in progress. The victim reported to police that he was in on the basement level of the residence when he heard footsteps from an upper floor. Upon investigating the noise, the victim observed an unknown intruder leaving through a rear sliding glass door. No contact was made with the intruder and no items were reported as missing. The victim was unable to identify the intruder.

Residential Burglary

On June 4 at 4:49 p.m., police responded to the 13800 block of Andorra Drive in Dale City for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 5:15AM and 4:40PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been forced open. No items were reported as missing.

Public safety officials recently gathered at Dunkin’ Donuts locations from Stafford County to Manassas to meet with community members in two separate events fostering engagement and conversation.

In Stafford County, Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins celebrated the grand reopening of their Next Generation restaurant on Warrenton Road with a unique community event on Saturday, February 8. Customers enjoyed free medium hot or iced coffee while participating in fun activities, including a prize wheel, face painting, and a visit from Dunkin’s mascot, Cuppy. As part of the event, local franchisee Pravina Bhalani hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and presented a $500 donation to the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Charitable Foundation.

Stafford County Fire and Rescue expressed their appreciation, stating, “Thank you to Dunkin’ (Warrenton Road) for the invite to their reopening and thank you for the generous $500 contribution to the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Charitable Foundation.”

Dr. Janet L. S. Brown-Page has been appointed to the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Board of Trustees to represent Stafford County. She replaces Mary Becelia, who was removed in 2024. The Board oversees library policies across Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland counties. Brown-Page, a retired federal senior manager and mediation expert, brings extensive experience in human and community relations. Her appointment follows the censure of Stafford Supervisor Monica Gary, accused of political maneuvering in Becelia’s removal.
