Crime Watch: Child Has Unwanted Encounter with Janitor

Strong Armed Robbery – On May 28th at 3:40PM, police responded to the 16600 block of Harwood Oaks Dr in Dumfries (22026) for a robbery. The victim, a 15 year old male of Dumfries, reported to police that he and a friend were walking on a trail in the area above when they were approached by two unknown males, one of which, was carrying a large stick and demanded the victim’s property. The males took the victim’s cell phone and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot. No property was reported missing from the victim’s friend. No injuries were reported.

Lookout: 2 black males, both between 15 & 18 years of age— 1st male was around 6’0” / 200lbs, medium build with a Mohawk haircut [suspect with the large stick] Last seen wearing a red shirt and blue pants 2ndmale was around 6’0” / 150lbs, thin build – no further description. Last seen white tank top, red swimming trucks and a white shirt over his head.

Assault and Battery – On May 25th at 1:45PM, police responded to Enterprise Elementary School located at 13900 Lindendale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 7 year old male student of the school, reported to police that he was assaulted by the accused, a janitor, earlier that day. The investigation revealed that the accused was pushing a dolly hand cart down a school hallway when he encountered the victim. The accused allegedly used the cart to corner the victim against a bulletin board before pushing the victim and walking away. There appeared to be no reason for the encounter.

The victim was not injured. Arrested: (No Photo Available) Ross Edward SCHRECENGOST, 59, of 28030 Tatum Rd in Unionville, VA, Charged with assault & battery Court date unavailable, released on a summons.
