DUMFRIES, Va. — A woman faces an malicious unlawful wounding charges after an argument turned violent Saturday morning.
Police were called to the 3500 block of Briarwood Drive, near Va. 234 near Dumfries, after a 21-year-old man said he was involved in an altercation with a 19-year-old woman about at 10:30 a.m.
During the argument, police said the 19-year-old woman picked up a pair of scissors and stabbed the male victim in the shoulder causing injuries that were not life threatening.
The suspect fled the scene but was found by police officers nearby, according to police documents.
Jennifer Lynn Ragusa, 19, of Dumfries, is charged with unlawful wounding, according to police. Her court date was not posted and she was released on a $3,500 secured bond.
