LORTON, Va. — The remains of two men from Prince William County who went missing in 2010 turned up in Lorton.
Fairfax County police today confirmed two sets of human remains found, one on July 12, 2010 and the other on March 15, 2011, were those of 32-year-old Manuel De Jesus Mireles-Garcia and 31-year-old Alberto Mireles-Garcia. Both men who were brothers went missing in Triangle in May 2010.
The determination was made by a medical examiner in Richmond who used forensic testing. The remains were sent there after they were discovered.
In August 2010, police released a description of the clothing recovered on the remains found in July 2010, stating the victim was wearing a t-shirt and a pair of white Reebok tennis shoes. The victim was also wearing a chain necklace with a stone, heart pendant and an evil eye talisman attached
