WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Once a home to a furniture store and to a now demolished stand-alone restaurant, The Ground Round, the Jefferson Plaza shopping center at U.S. 1 and Mount Pleasant Drive in Woodbridge now sits empty and dilapidated. It’s an eyesore that isn’t sharing in the same growth and change taking place next door at Marumsco Plaza, where new retailers and restaurants will join Todos Supermarket.
So, what should happen to this old shopping center? It’s location alongside a busy highway makes it ideal, but for what? New stores? A public building? How about tearing it down and making it a park or open space? Tell us in our comments section below as we hold a public discussion about what should go here.
