LAKE RIDGE, Va. — Police announced the arrest of a Lake Ridge man suspected of possessing child pornography.
Officials with the Northern Virginia / Washington, D.C. Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, or ICAC, were tipped off to their suspect in August. During an ongoing investigation police obtained a search warrant for their suspect’s home at 4120 Burning Ridge Court off Springwoods Drive in Lake Ridge on August 25. But it wasn’t until Feb. 7 that the suspect was charged with a crime, according to Prince William police documents.
Police said they delayed announcing of the arrest due to the ongoing investigation.
Matthew Scott Rocco, 25, is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, police documents state. He is scheduled to appear in court March 30.
