Stafford Business Burglarized

Stafford County, Va. — Stafford sheriff’s deputies said $60,000 in appliances is missing from a business on U.S. 1.

The owner of a shop at 1080 Jefferson Davis Highway in Stafford called authorities Tuesday and said the front door had been opened and several air conditioning units, two refrigerators, a washer and dryer, and a metal prep table had been stolen. The man left his shop Friday and came back Tuesday to find the items missing, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

While the intruders were inside they managed to break other doors, as well as break open another air conditioning unit and remove its parts, said Kennedy.
