Stafford, Va. — It’s official: Garrisonville residents have an interim representative on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors.

Republican Ty Schieber was sworn shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors. Previously elected to represent Garrisonville on the county’s School Board, Schieber replaces Delegate Mark Dudenhefer (R-Stafford, Woodbridge) who is now serving in the House of Delegates in Richmond.

Mr. Schieber has served as the Garrisonville District representative on the Stafford School Board since 2010. He is an executive vice president and general manager of Technology Associates International Corporation (TAIC), which provides services and software applications to a diverse mix of Federal Government clients. He is also a director on the Military Affairs Council of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Schieber served as a U.S. Marine Corps officer for 11 years of active duty and three years of reserve duty. He has lived in Stafford for the last 18 years with his wife, Liz, and three children.

Garrisonville residents on April 3 will head to polls set up in their district to vote in a Supervisor who will complete the remaining two years of Dudenhefer’s elected term.

Democrat, and former Garrisonville Supervisor, Gary Pash said he will challenge Schieber for the job.
