Crime Watch: 2 Arrested in Robbery, Car Hits Lawn

Woodbridge, Va. — Two men from Maryland are charged in a robbery at a popular convenience store in Woodbridge on Nov. 30.

The U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Taskforce located one of the suspects in the robbery in Timonium, Md. on Wednesday, about 80 miles north of where the robbery took place at the Handy Dandy Market on Occoquan Road. That arrest led to the capture of another man Thursday in Prince George’s County, Md., said police.

James Edward Parham Jr., 33, and Terrell Anthony Hale, 20, both of Landover, Md, are charged with robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, said police.

Parham was captured in Timonium and Hale in Prince George’s County.

Police said the two men took cash from the store. No one was injured in the robbery.

Reckless Driving / Felony Eluding – On December 15th at 11:32PM, police responded to the

11900 block of San Ysidro Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a report of a reckless driving. Caller reported to police that a gold colored Honda had just crashed onto his lawn then fled down the street. Police checked the area and located a vehicle matching the description by the caller in the area of Mojave Ln. Police attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver, the accused, ignored officer’s lights and siren and continued to the area of Springwoods Dr and Bracknell Dr where the driver lost control and wrecked rendering the vehicle inoperable. The driver refused to exit the vehicle, at one point, attempting to flee again in the vehicle. Officers were finally able to get the accused out of the vehicle, at which point, he resisted arrest. Once officers were able to control the accused, cocaine was discovered on his person which was estimated around 5 grams.

Charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, driving on a revoked license, resisting

arrest and possession of a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine]

Court date set for February 24, 2012, held WITHOUT bond

Malicious Wounding / Destruction of Property – On December 14 that 12:30PM, police responded to the 18500 block of Old Triangle Rd in Triangle (20172) for a disorderly. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she was in her residence in the above area and woke up to the sound of windows breaking. The accused, a known acquaintance, was inside the residence shooting out the windows with a paintball gun. The victim and the accused then got into a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim several times in the face causing non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital. The accused was located a short distance from the residence and was arrested without further incident. The damage to the house was estimated around $1,200. Arrested:

Burglary – On December 13th at 2:16PM, police responded to the 14000 block of Oxbridge Inn Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM and 2:15PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear sliding glass door which had been forced opened. Jewelry and electronics, valued around $8,000, were reported missing.

Burglary – On December 15th at 11:46AM, police responded to the 3000 block of Tecumseh Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:45AM and 11:45AM. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced opened. No items were reported missing.

Armed Robbery – On December 15th at 8:39PM, police responded to the 12700 block of Wood Hollow Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. The victim, a 35 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was making a delivery for Lake Ridge Pizzeria in the area above when he was approached by two unknown men wearing masks. One of the men displayed a knife and demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the suspects.

Burglary – On December 15th at 1:48PM, police responded to the 1800 block of Powder Horn Tr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary to a vacant residence. Property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00AM on June 1st and 1:48PM on December 15th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear sliding glass door which had been broken out. No items were reported missing.
