After a triumphant season-opening show, Vpstart Crow Productions will deliver its second promising entry of the season when “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” opens on Friday, December 9th at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
The play is sure to delight with its non-stop mischievous humor and plenty of heart. How does a Christmas pageant survive when six mean, unruly siblings are given roles? Be sure to find out when this action-packed, family production brings holiday cheer to Northern Virginia. The production will be performed in partnership with StudioWorks Virginia, a local children’s theatre. Kye-Won Choi Kopko and Denise Smith from StudioWorks Virginia will join Vpstart Crow’s Artistic Director Rob Batarla and Managing Director Clemente Santiago for an unprecedented collaboration for Vpstart Crow.

Vpstart Crow began the 2011-2012 season with Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” and by selling out nearly all six performances. Santiago noted,
“This is the biggest, non Christmas show we’ve had in years.” The pre-sold tickets equaled the usual total ticket sales for a performance. Regarding the success, Batarla commented, “When the seats are full and the performance is high quality, it doesn’t get any better than that.”
“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will play from December 9-18, with a special Pay-What-You-Can preview performance on Thursday, December 8. Performances are Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
