Charges Filed in Sex Assault

Woodbridge, Va. – A woman walking to her car outside a nightclub in Woodbridge was sexually assaulted, police said.

The 29-year-old victim from Dumfries had been inside the K2 nightclub at Featherstone Plaza in on U.S. 1 in Woodbridge on Saturday night and had seen a man that she knew, said a Prince William police spokesman. Later that night as the woman was walking to her car, the man she saw inside the club was standing next to her vehicle. He pulled her closed and then assaulted her, said police.

The victim was able to flee and contact police.

Matthew Paul Ector, 38, of 112 Pilot Knob Loop in Stafford, is charged with sexual battery and object sexual penetration, police said. He was held without bond.

Also over the weekend, police responded to the following incidents:

Malicious Wounding – On November 19th at 11:30PM, police responded to the 13200 block of Aldrin St in Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 53 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly assaulted the victim by punching him in the face several times. The accused fled the residence but was located a short distance later. The victim was transported to an area hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. The accused was also transported to an area hospital after sustained minor injures from the victim defending himself.

Charged with malicious wounding

Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

Malicious Wounding – On November 18th at 4:05PM, police responded to the 5000 block of Barnacle Pl in Dumfries (22025) for a domestic. The victim, a 20 year old man of Washington D.C., reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of the residence. The encounter escalated and the accused allegedly retrieved a large knife and began slashing at the victim. The victim sustained superficial and otherwise minor injures. The accused was able to get into a vehicle and leave the area. The accused was located and arrested without further incident on November 21st.

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On November 20th at 5:30PM, police responded to Potomac Hospital located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for a intoxicated subject. Police arrived and located the subject, identified as the accused, and attempted to arrest her. While escorting the accused to a police cruiser, she became disorderly inside the hospital and then refused to get into the cruiser causing a struggle. During the encounter, the accused kicked the officer in the upper body. No injuries were reported.
