North Stafford, Va. — A composite sketch of the man police think could have tried to abduct a girl in the Garrison Woods Apartments off Onville Road in North Stafford one week ago is out.

Stafford sheriff’s authorities said the man is light skinned, possibly Hispanic, thin but muscular and had short black hair that was spiked in front. Police added the man did not have any facial hair and that he spoke with a faint accent.

The 17-year-old female would-be victim to Stafford sheriff’s authorities it happened while she was walking between two apartment buildings when a man driving a beige car stopped and told her to get in. She refused, but the man allegedly told her he would make her get in if she didn’t and that’s when she ran away, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

This latest abduction attempt comes after a 9-year-old girl in neighboring Spotsylvania County was nearly abducted while walking home from school Oct. 21.

Investigators in Stafford have not said if they believe the two incidents may be related.
