Woodbridge, Va. — Get ready for more delays on Interstate 95 north as crews prepare to finish what they started earlier this week.
Construction crews tonight through Saturday morning will attempt to repair a 25-foot section of concrete at Prince William Parkway, and drivers are being told to pack their patience if they plan to be on that stretch of the highway during the repairs.
The repairs will take place beginning at 8 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday, according to Virginia Department of Transportation officials.
A stretch of concrete along this same stretch of I-95 failed early Wednesday morning prompting VDOT to conduct emergency repairs. That early morning work — that was never completely finished — caused major delays during the rush hour as thousands of commuters tried to head north toward Washington.
