Stafford County, Va. — A propane tanker truck crashed today leaving one hospitalized.
Crews were called to the accident scene on Rock Hill Church Road between Va. 610 and Van Horn Lane about 1 p.m., where they found the occupant of the overturned truck trapped inside. Firefighters made sure the truck was stable and was not leaking any materials and then pulled the occupant out in less than an hour of arriving on scene, said Stafford fire and rescue spokesman Mark Doyle. The patient was taken to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
The propane had to be removed from the truck before the vehicle could be pulled from the roadway, said Doyle.
Police investigating the crash have yet to say what led to the crash.
