Woodbridge, Va. — Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi has won the endorsement of the Prince William Education Association, according to his campaign.
The organization that lobbies for the interests of educators in Prince William is expected to announce their endorsement Thursday at Fred M. Lynn Middle School in Woodbridge.
“Education is one of the building blocks of a successful society and it is an integral part of our community. Each student’s success depends on receiving sufficient attention in the classroom,” said Principi in a press release. “Prince William County has an excellent school system, but in order to ensure our children are best prepared for the workplace of the future we need to ensure that our schools are adequately funded today. When I am re-elected this November, I will continue my efforts to make sure every student receives a world class education right here in Woodbridge.”
This latest endorsement announcement from the Prince William Education Association comes after Babur Lateef was endorsed by the group this summer. Lateef, also a Democrat, is vying to replace Republican and current At large Prince William Board Chair Corey Stewart.
