North Stafford, Va. — It’s going to be easier to get to Woodlands Pool after a new sidewalk along Hampton Park Road is finished.
Trees are being cut back to make way for the new sidewalk, which will connect walking path lined with street lights along Hampton Park with a sidewalk at Eustace Road, near Woodlands Pool.
Garrisonville District Supervisor Mark Dudenhefer says the path has been a long time coming.
“It’s taken five years to get this sidewalk approved and to the construction phase, and now we’re happy that it has finally begun,” said Dudenhefer.
The sidewalk is being built in the Hampton Woods subdivision, and area largely devoid of pedestrian- friendly paths.
Dudenhefer has long pushed for sidewalks in his mostly suburban district, in both the Hampton Woods and Austin Ridge neighborhoods.
