
Fairfax County, Va. — Two stations on Metro’s Blue line will close Sunday, leaving passengers the option of taking a to take a free bus.
The Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street Metro stations will be closed all day Sunday as the Virginia Department of Transportation will work on replacing a bridge on Telegraph Road, near the King Street Metro station in Alexandria.
Free shuttle buses will operate between Franconia-Springfield and Eisenhower Avenue Metro stations, and will also pick up passengers at the Van Dorn Street Metro station, according to a press release from the transit agency.
Blue line trains will operate to and from the Eisenhower Avenue and Huntington Metro stations every 20 minutes on Sunday.
Normal rail service is expected to resume on Monday.
