National Night Out is set for next Tuesday, and has long been a time where neighbors are encouraged to get outside and meet their neighbors.
Several celebrations are planned in the Potomac Communities, including a large celebration held by the Stafford Sheriff’s Office at Stafford Marketplace in North Stafford.
Exhibitors, community organizations, police, fire and rescue as well as county government agencies have all been known to make an appearance at the event.
In Woodbridge, police will not hold a National Night Out party at the Prince William County Government Center as they did in 2010, according to Prince William police’s Facebook page.
