2 Nabbed in Woodbridge Burglaries

Woodbridge, Va. –– Arrests have been made in a string of burglaries that occurred in Woodbridge late last month.

On May 20, police were called to Eisenhower Circle just off Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. 1) behind Aquinas Catholic School.

The homeowner told police someone broke into the house between 11:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and stole a telescope.

A second burglary took place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 26, where another homeowner reported an iPod and camera stolen.

Then another burglary on the same street on Wednesday lead police to develop the identity of the suspects in each of the Eisenhower Circle burglaries, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

Marcus Deqiann McClurkin, 19, of Woodbridge, is charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny and with two counts of intent to sell stolen property, said Perok.

Travis Jamal Caison, 19, of Woodbridge, is charged with burglary, grand larceny and with intent to sell stolen property, said Perok.

Both live in the same neighborhood in which the burglaries occurred, and both are scheduled to appear in court June 29 and were held without bond.

The storm is the result of a broad upper trough bringing Gulf moisture into the area, combined with cold air entrenched over the region due to a high-pressure system to the northeast.
