Fairfax, Va. –– Fairfax County police will honor fallen officers tomorrow during ceremony outside the county’s courthouse complex.
Six officers will be remembered, including 2nd Lt. Frank Stecco who was killed in the waters of the Pohick Bay in 2008 during a training exercise, and Detective Vicky Armel and Master Police Officer Michael Garbarino who were both killed when a gunman opened fire on a police station in the county’s Sully District in 2006.
The memorial service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden at the Massey Building at 4100 Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax.
Members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will join Col. David Roher of the Fairfax County Police Department at the event.
