Woman Charged After Man Stabbed with Screwdriver

Wendy Luciana Pena faces aggravated malicious wounding charges, police say. (Submitted)

Dumfries, Va. –– One woman is behind bars today after she stabbed a man repeatedly with a screwdriver, police say.

Officers were called at 2:25 a.m. Thursday to the 17400 block of Denali Place in Dumfries for a report of a domestic dispute.

They arrived on scene to find the victim, a 29-year-old man, had been stabbed in the arm and chest with the tool, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.

Police say the victim got into an argument with his attacker, and the suspect picked up the screw driver and stabbed him. Police arrested the suspect on the scene, said Perok.

Wendy Luciana Pena, 31, of Dumfries, is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and is being held without bond, said Perok.

Her court date was not released.
