Lake Ridge, Va. –– You’ll soon be able to get any of your 31 favorite flavors of ice cream to support fallen firefighters.
Baskin Robins in Lake Ridge has once again this year partnered with national fire and rescue organizations to raise money for the fallen heroes.
Anyone who goes to a Baskin Robbins between 5 and 10 p.m. Wednesday April 27 can get ice cream scoops for 31 cents each.
Baskin Robins will then donate $100,000 of the proceeds to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, said Prince William fire and rescue spokeswoman Kim Hylander.
There will also be area firefighters on hand to serve customers who come in to get ice cream.
In addition to working to preserve the memories of fallen firefighters, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation also works to prevent line-of-duty deaths by providing information to community members on how to prevent fires.
Baskin Robins in Lake Ridge is located at Tackett’s Mill Shopping Center at 2201 Old Bridge Road. For more information, you can call 703-490-5035.
