North Stafford, Va. –– Julie Chu says the Sake restaurant in the Doc Stone shopping plaza has been hoping with customers.
The new eatery opened in North Stafford on March 4, and since then diners have been coming in to taste some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, like the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodle and Sushi made fresh inside, said Chu, a manager at the restaurant.
“It has been very busy here. We haven’t had time to do a grand opening,” said Chu.
A majority of reviews for Sake on Yelp –– a website that encourages diners post their experiences at the restaurant online –– have been positive.
Many lauded the Mexican rolls, spicy shrimp cocktails and Bangkok Fried Doughnuts dessert.
Sake racked up some poor ratings from customers who said service was slow.
Chu says Sake comes after the owners of the restaurant have opened and sold at least three other restaurants in Northern Virginia.
It replaces the old Brocks Grill that once occupied the space.
