Today’s warm weather should give way to a round of thunderstorms into the overnight hours.
Some of those storms may be severe, and may produce damaging hail and wind, warns the National Weather Service.
At 1 p.m. Monday, the high temperature at Dulles Airport was 72 degrees with partly cloudy skies, as Mother Nature reminded residents spring is still in the forecast.
On Tuesday, showers and storms are likely mainly after 11 a.m., states the NWS.
