Abduction charges against Mason student dropped
Officials at George Mason University say all abduction charges against a student accused of locking a female student inside of a library study room have been dropped, and the school will now look into how its own police department handled the case, reports The Washington Post.
Stafford’s 2012 budget favors schools
After weeks of talks of budget cuts, cutting staff and mandated furloughs, Stafford County Public Schools received $1 million in additional funding as the Board of County Supervisors agreed on a $240 million budget for 2012. The Stafford sheriff’s office also benefited, reports Fredericksburg.com.
