Woodbridge, Va. ––Want to grab dinner Thursday and help a good cause?
The ACTS Homeless Shelter will hold a fundraiser at Cici’s Pizza in Woodbridge.
A portion of all of the customer receipts collected in a box on the counter at the restaurant will go to benefit the homeless shelter, which provides enough beds for 15 men, women and children.
The fundraiser is also an opportunity for those who live in the shelter to be able to have one night where they go out to eat.
“This is a nice, little monthly event that we do, and I’m not sure how much is raised each month, but the average stay for families in the shelter can be 30 to 40 days. With this, families get treated to dinner and it’s great to have the community support,” said ACTS Volunteer Events Coordinator Robin Sheedy.
You’ll have to get to the restaurant between 4 and 8 p.m. to participate.
Cici’s Pizza at 13600 Foulger Square in Woodbridge offers a buffet full of pizza, salad and pasta for about $5 per person.
ACTS will hold similar fundraisers again form 4 to 8 p.m. March 10 and April 14 at Cici’s Pizza in Woodbridge.
Correction: The pizza fundraiser will be held Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. An earlier version of this story was incorrect.
