North Stafford, Va. –– Stafford sheriff authorities say a Caroline County man exposed himself to a deputy.
A Stafford sheriff’s deputy was flagged down by a woman about 9:15 a.m. Friday, who told him a car was blocking the entrance to the Kings Crest subdivision at Va. 610 and Hermitage Drive in North Stafford.
The deputy went to investigate and saw a white coupe stopped in the middle of Hermitage Drive.
A man standing near the car fell to the ground, and the deputy went to assist him, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
Lying on the ground, the man seemed disoriented, his speech was slurred, and when asked how he got to Hermitage Drive, he couldn’t answer the deputy, said Kennedy.
The man then told the deputy that he came to the area was going to feed some geese at a nearby pond. The deputy saw the nearby pond was frozen over, and there were no geese, said Kennedy.
The man’s car still had the keys inside and the ignition running. Officials did not say if the car was registered to the man.
The deputy placed the man under arrest, on suspicion of public drunkenness.
He placed him in the backseat of his sheriff’s cruiser, but on the way to jail the man passed out, which forced the deputy to take him to Stafford Hospital Center.
While there, he was seen by medical staff, who along with authorities, found what appeared to be crack cocaine in one of his socks.
The patient refused to provide authorities with a blood sample and the exposed himself to the arresting deputy, said Kennedy.
Alfred Glascock, 66, of Mattaponi Avenue in Woodford, Va. faces charges of DUI, indecent exposure and drug possession, said Kennedy.
After being released from the hospital, Glascock was taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
