Police recap: Man struck, dies

Man struck twice, dies
One man is dead after being struck by two vehicles on U.S. 1.

The victim, described only as Hispanic, ran out into the intersection of U.S. 1 and Buckman Road in Hybla Valley.

While in the intersection, a 2005 Chrysler Mini-van traveling south struck the victim, and the force of the impact flung him into the right turn lane at the intersection, said a Fairfax County Police spokesman.

After being hit the man landed in the right turn lane and was again, this time by a 2008 Ford Truck.

The 21-year-old driver of the mini-van stayed on the scene. The 27-year-old driver of the truck left the scene, but she was later located by police.

The victim died on the scene, and is said to be 5 feet 5 inches tall, in his mid 30s or early 40s, with black hair and a mustache.

Beaten then robbed
On November 04th at 4:54PM, police responded to the 1800 block of Tiger Lilly Cl in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault. The victim, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that around 2:00PM, two men, one known to the victim, the other unknown, came to victim’s residence. S

Shortly thereafter, two additional unknown men came over to the residence.

Once the other men showed up, two of the men assaulted the victim while the other two took electronics and other items valuing around $3,700. Only minor injuries were reported. Investigation continues.
