WOODBRIDGE, Va. – The Potomac Community Library in Woodbridge will celebrate turning 35 in September, and they library’s staff have planned a series of events to commemorate the birthday.
Starting on Saturday Sept. 10, residents can come to the library to get a good deal on an old read, as the Friends of the Potomac Community Library will hold a book sale.
The following Saturday, a Northern Virginia fencing organization will hold demonstrations at the library. The next day, Marc Ramirez and Olivia Hajioff, of the duo “marcollivia,” will perform. The two violinists have preformed at Washington’s Kennedy Center and at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
A lego competition and a jazz concert on September 25 and 26, respectively, will round out the celebration.
The library opened it’s doors on January 25, 1975, according to Prince William County officials.
