LADYSMITH, Va. — State police were called to a car fire on Interstate 95 on Monday.
The flames engulfed the car as it sat on the right shoulder of the northbound side of the highway about 3:30 p.m., near Ladysmith, said Virginia State Police Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar.
No one was injured, but the right lane was blocked for a short time while fire crews worked to douse the blaze.
Ryan Patrick Kennedy witnessed the burning car while driving along the highway. The car looked to be a red 1980s model Chevrolet Camaro, he said.
“It didn’t look like there was anyone near the car, but it was something to see,” said Kennedy.
